ESC51 – Our Volunteers in the Earthquake Zone
Under the ESC short- and long-term individual volunteering projects supported by the Turkish National Agency and coordinated by BEKAM, young people aged 18–30 from various countries continue to take active roles in social responsibility initiatives across Türkiye.
As part of these efforts, the Bülbülzade Foundation Earthquake Region Coordination Team and ESC volunteers provided material support to tailoring workshops and handicraft courses in the earthquake-affected areas. ESC volunteers participated in a wood painting activity held in the Nurdağı district of Gaziantep. They then visited the Bülbülzade Foundation’s Tailoring Workshop in İslâhiye, where they gained hands-on experience in handicrafts and tailoring through local courses.
