BEKAM Academy Seminars Begin

BEKAM organizes an 8-week program titled "DIGITAL LITERACY AND TRANSFORMATION SKILLS" and brings together experts in the field and participants who are interested in the subject.

Information and communication technologies, e-mails, online applications, social networks and more have now become a part of our daily lives, especially with the Covid-19 pandemic, individuals and institutions have started to need digital technologies more. This channel, which is defined as the digitalization process, makes it mandatory for individuals to increase their digital literacy levels and for institutions to implement their digital transformation processes. It is also an important topic that digital technologies, which have a critical importance in participation in social life, need to increase their digital literacy skills so that they can be used effectively by civil society workers.

In the seminars to be presented by different expert researchers every week; The general framework of basic digital transformation concepts such as Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Connectivitiy, Cloud and Cyber Security, Digital literacy and transformation concepts and their effects on civil society structures, Change in news and news channels in the digital age, fake news and hate speech concepts and Trainings will be provided on topics such as its social effects, disruptive technologies and their uses in the phenomenon of digitalization, recognizing and understanding the target audience to be reached, and the strategy and planning skills that NGOs should have in their digital transformation processes.

Digital Literacy and Digital Transformation Skills seminars aim to develop the skills that non-governmental organizations need in their digital transformation processes, from digital security to increasing internet-based institutional capacity, from making digital strategies and planning to working remotely.

The First Seminar was held with the title of "Our Digital Competencies" by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Computer Engineering Department Head Dr. Ahmet Kaplan will take place on Saturday, October 22.

The seminars will be held in the BEKAM (Science Education and Cultural Research Center) 1st Floor multi-purpose hall.
