“Digital Transformation Concept Set”
The 4th of the BEKAM Academy seminars was held at BEKAM on Saturday, November 12, with the topic of "Digital Transformation Concept Set" by Ali Özcan, President of Refar Institute.
BEKAM continues to bring together expert researchers and participants who are interested in the subject by organizing an 8-week program with the title "DIGITAL LITERACY AND TRANSFORMATION SKILLS".
At the seminar held this week, Özcan said, “Term is a concept that comes from Latin. It is the name given to the border god called Terminos. You set your boundaries and put them in a framework. Actually, that's the concept. Contrary to popular belief, the human mind cannot be thought without boundaries. You can have what we call creativity and imagination if you have limits. If you don't have limits, you can never develop, think and encompass anything. So the problem is not the boundaries but how the boundaries are created.
Some concepts can be organizing and constructive concepts, such as modernization. When we look at the 19th and 20th centuries, our entire conceptual world, our approaches were realized within the concept of modernization and the whole story revolved around it. The place we want to emphasize in our Digital Transformation Concept Set topic is; we are going to another level, our thought and concept infrastructure is actually the concept infrastructure in the modern world. The issue that is circulating as digital transformation and causing the greatest damage is this: We think that transferring physical assets to the internet and electronic environment is digitalization. Digitization is not like that, so we can't be successful.
The seminar ended after a question and answer session.
