Debate Program for Secondary School Students
Our Secondary Education Unit recently organized two separate debate programs for middle and high school students. The debate program for middle schoolers was conducted as a preliminary round in two stages, featuring four different teams.
In addition, the first stage of the Debate Tournament was held at BEKAM with the participation of male and female student groups from Bülbülzade Foundation, Hayata Dokun Orphan Foundation, and Bilimder.
In the middle school debate program, male students debated the topic “Does peer bullying affect school success?” while female students discussed “Do smartphones make learning easier?”
During the first stage of the high school Debate Tournament, students engaged in discussions on the topics: “Social media applications that emphasize visual content should / should not be restricted” and “The exam-oriented education system in Türkiye suppresses / does not suppress students’ creativity.”
The final stage of the Debate Tournament, where two groups have qualified, will take place in two weeks.
