The 2nd of the Focus Group Meetings was Held

The 2nd of the Focus Group Meetings was held within the body of BEKAM (Science Education Culture Research Center) were held at our foundation center on Saturday, January 28th with the title of "Reading and Writing Culture as an Existential Action".

Foundation Board Member Rabia Aldemir, Adem Er, BEKAM (Science Education Culture Research Center) President Mehmet Ali Eminoğlu, NGO representatives and volunteers attended the meeting.

Enes Günaslan moderated the meeting where discussion was held on “The Culture of Reading and Writing as an Existential Action”.

At the meeting topics such as, the development of writing, the culture of writing, the reading activity in geographies where reading is a high action, where education and books are not widespread, the act of reading remains an elite attitude, the necessity of making reading qualified, the culture of qualified reading, ignorance, oral culture, wattpad books spreading among the youth, narrative culture, scholastic period, reading without any aims were mentioned by giving anecdotes from Schopenhauer.

The meeting ended after the negotiations.
