BEKAM | TECHNOLOGY LITERACY
The 3rd of the BEKAM Academy seminars was held at BEKAM on Saturday, November 5, with the title of "Technology Literacy" by Ekrem Tekin, General Manager of OSB Technopolis.
BEKAM continues to bring together expert researchers and participants who are interested in the subject by organizing an 8-week program with the title "DIGITAL LITERACY AND TRANSFORMATION SKILLS".
What is technology literacy? What are the sub-branches of Technology Literacy? What are the misconceptions we know about technology? Information was given on topics such as green technology and blog chain.
At the seminar held this week, Tekin said, “Technology literacy is being at peace with technology and dancing with it. It is not necessary to be only in the technology sector to know technology well. People from all professions need to have a command of technology, you can see how it can make a difference for you, and it will be productive both in your professional career and in your personal life. There used to be what was called the digital divide because many people didn't have computers and phones so they couldn't access it. Now we have the possibilities, but are we using them correctly? We can learn things we do not know from the internet. Curiosity is the beginning of everything. If you wonder and write how I can do this, you can find thousands of resources.
Digital literacy is the ability to filter digital information and understand right and wrong.
Technologies are building the second brain of man. We know that everything we learn can be accessed digitally.” He used his expressions.
The seminar ended after a question and answer session.
